Pickering v Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

20/06/22

Following the four-day, in-person trial in the Royal Courts of Justice, Mr Justice Ritchie has found that, on the balance of probabilities, the claimant’s stroke would have been avoided if she had received proper initial treatment in A&E.

This case highlights the important role expert evidence plays in cases where causation is the issue.  Catherine Ewins, working with Ashtons represented the claimant.
