Michael comes from a family who have traditionally clerked barristers. He joined Hailsham Chambers (then known as 4 Paper Buildings) as First Junior Clerk in 1982 and has been instrumental in the development of Chambers over a 30+ year period.
In his role as Deputy Senior Clerk, Michael is responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the clerking team and for Hailsham’s information systems and security. Michael is involved in Chambers’ business development activities and takes pride in mentoring junior clerks.
Michael consistently receives praise in the legal directories for the quality of the service he provides.
Michael is a member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks (IBC).
